Uses and Benefits of CETRIZET D TABLET (CETRIZINE + PPH)
This combination medicine is mainly used to treat allergic conditions and cold-related symptoms that involve both allergy and nasal blockage.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Relief from sneezing, runny nose and itching due to allergies
- Relief from nasal congestion and stuffiness
- Symptomatic relief of common cold symptoms
- Management of allergic rhinitis (hay fever)
HOW IT WORKS
- Cetirizine blocks histamine, a chemical released during allergic reactions, reducing sneezing, itching and watery eyes
- Phenylpropanolamine acts as a decongestant by narrowing swollen blood vessels in the nose, reducing stuffiness
- Together they relieve both allergy symptoms and blocked nose
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not used to treat bacterial or viral infections directly
- Not a cure for asthma or chronic breathing problems
- Not recommended for chronic long-term nasal congestion without medical advice
- Not meant for treating high blood pressure or heart conditions

How to Use CETRIZET D TABLET (CETRIZINE + PPH)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor
- Can be taken with or without food, as advised
- Avoid taking at the same time as alcohol or other sedating medicines
- Do not exceed the dose or duration recommended by your doctor
- Swallow tablets whole with water; shake syrup well before use, if prescribed
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
- Keep out of reach of children
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
- Do not store in the bathroom or near the kitchen sink
