This combination medicine is mainly used to treat allergic conditions and cold-related symptoms that involve both allergy and nasal blockage.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Relief from sneezing, runny nose and itching due to allergies
• Relief from nasal congestion and stuffiness
• Symptomatic relief of common cold symptoms
• Management of allergic rhinitis (hay fever)

HOW IT WORKS

• Cetirizine blocks histamine, a chemical released during allergic reactions, reducing sneezing, itching and watery eyes
• Phenylpropanolamine acts as a decongestant by narrowing swollen blood vessels in the nose, reducing stuffiness
• Together they relieve both allergy symptoms and blocked nose

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used to treat bacterial or viral infections directly
• Not a cure for asthma or chronic breathing problems
• Not recommended for chronic long-term nasal congestion without medical advice
• Not meant for treating high blood pressure or heart conditions

How to Use CETRIZET D TABLET (CETRIZINE + PPH)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor
• Can be taken with or without food, as advised
• Avoid taking at the same time as alcohol or other sedating medicines
• Do not exceed the dose or duration recommended by your doctor
• Swallow tablets whole with water; shake syrup well before use, if prescribed

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
• Do not store in the bathroom or near the kitchen sink

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to cetirizine, phenylpropanolamine or similar medicines

• Have a history of stroke
• Are taking MAO inhibitor medicines
