Uses and Benefits of CLONIL 75 SR TABLET (CLOMIPRAMINE 75MG)

Clomipramine 75mg is mainly prescribed for the treatment of depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). It may also be used for certain other conditions as decided by your doctor.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Treatment of depression
• Treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
• Sometimes used for panic disorder or phobic states as advised by a doctor

How to Use CLONIL 75 SR TABLET (CLOMIPRAMINE 75MG)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once or twice a day
• Swallow the tablet with water; can be taken with or after food to reduce stomach upset
• Do not crush or chew unless your doctor/pharmacist says it is safe to do so
• Do not stop taking suddenly without consulting your doctor, as this may cause withdrawal symptoms
• It may take several weeks before you notice improvement in mood or symptoms

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue as usual
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
• Dispose of unused medicine safely, do not flush down the drain

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to clomipramine or any other tricyclic antidepressant
• Have had a recent heart attack
• Are taking or have recently taken MAO inhibitor antidepressants
• Have severe liver disease
