This medicine is used for the treatment of active tuberculosis (TB) infection, as part of combination therapy.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Treatment of pulmonary and extra-pulmonary tuberculosis
• Used along with other anti-TB drugs like isoniazid, rifampicin and pyrazinamide
• Helps prevent bacteria from becoming resistant to other TB drugs

HOW IT WORKS

• Stops the growth and multiplication of TB-causing bacteria (Mycobacterium tuberculosis)
• Interferes with the bacterial cell wall formation, weakening the bacteria

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day

• Do not stop the medicine early, even if you feel better; complete the full course
• Take along with other anti-TB medicines as instructed

IF YOU MISS A DOSE
