WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Control of high blood pressure (hypertension)
- Management of stable chronic heart failure
- Reducing heart rate in certain irregular heart rhythms

- Blocks beta-1 receptors present mainly in the heart
- Slows down heart rate and reduces force of contraction

HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day
- Swallow the tablet with water, with or without food
- Take it at the same time every day to maintain steady levels
- Do not stop suddenly without consulting your doctor, as this can worsen heart conditions
- Continue taking it even if you feel well, unless advised otherwise

- Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one
- Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one
