This medicine is mainly used for controlling high blood pressure in adults.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)
• Used when a single blood pressure medicine is not enough to control blood pressure
• Helps reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and kidney problems linked to long-term high blood pressure

HOW IT WORKS

• Bisoprolol blocks beta receptors in the heart, slowing heart rate and reducing the force of heart contraction, lowering blood pressure
• Hydrochlorothiazide acts on the kidneys to increase urine output, removing extra fluid and salt, which lowers blood pressure
• Together they give a stronger blood pressure lowering effect than either medicine alone

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day in the morning
• Swallow the tablet with a glass of water, with or without food
• Do not crush or chew unless your doctor tells you to
• Take it at the same time every day to maintain steady levels in the body
• Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without talking to your doctor, as this can cause a sudden rise in blood pressure or heart problems

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as normal
• Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
