Baricitinib 4mg is mainly used to treat moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis and certain types of alopecia areata (severe hair loss due to an autoimmune condition), especially when other treatments have not worked well.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Moderate to severe active rheumatoid arthritis in adults
• Severe alopecia areata (autoimmune hair loss)
• Sometimes used for other inflammatory conditions as advised by a specialist

HOW IT WORKS

• Blocks enzymes called Janus kinases (JAK1 and JAK2) inside immune cells

HOW TO TAKE IT
