This medicine is used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, especially when diet, exercise, and single-drug treatment are not enough to control blood sugar.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Controlling high blood sugar in type 2 diabetes
• Used along with diet and exercise for better sugar control
• Sometimes used with other diabetes medicines as advised by the doctor

HOW IT WORKS

• Dapagliflozin blocks sugar reabsorption in the kidneys, so extra sugar is passed out in urine
• Metformin lowers the amount of sugar made by the liver
• Metformin also helps body cells use insulin more effectively
• Together they help maintain blood sugar within a healthy range

• Signs of lactic acidosis such as severe tiredness, muscle pain, difficulty breathing, or stomach pain
• Signs of ketoacidosis such as nausea, vomiting, and unusual tiredness even with normal blood sugar
• Severe dehydration or very low blood pressure
• Signs of a serious urinary or genital infection with fever and pain
• Sudden swelling of face, lips, or throat, or difficulty breathing (allergic reaction)
• Symptoms of low blood sugar like shakiness, sweating, or confusion, especially if combined with other diabetes drugs

How to Use DAPASACH-M 10/1000MG TABLET (DAPAGLIFLOZIN 10MG + METFORMIN 1000MG)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with the first meal of the day
• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew unless advised
• Drink enough fluids during the day, especially in hot weather
• Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well, as it needs regular use to control sugar
• Keep taking other diabetes lifestyle measures like diet and exercise as advised

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose
• Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one
• If you miss doses often, inform your doctor

• Keep out of reach of children

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
