This combination is mainly prescribed for short-term relief of pain associated with muscle spasm, such as acute low back pain, neck pain, and other musculoskeletal disorders.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Acute back pain with muscle spasm
- Neck pain and stiffness due to muscle spasm
- Painful musculoskeletal conditions where inflammation and muscle tightness occur together
- Post-injury muscular pain, as advised by a doctor
HOW IT WORKS
- Etoricoxib blocks a chemical called COX-2 that causes pain, swelling and inflammation in the body
- Thiocolchicoside acts on the nervous system to relax tight, spasming muscles
- Together they relieve both the pain/inflammation and the muscle tightness causing it
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- It is not a first-choice medicine for long-term or chronic pain management
- It does not treat the underlying cause of back or neck problems, such as disc disease
- It is not meant for fever alone or for general infections
- It should not be used for everyday minor aches without medical advice

- Yellowing of eyes or skin, dark urine (signs of liver problems)
- Severe allergic reaction: facial swelling, difficulty breathing, severe rash
- Fits or seizures, or unusual muscle weakness
- Severe diarrhoea or abdominal pain

How to Use DORFREE MR 8MG TABLET (ETORICOXIB 60 MG + THIOCOLCHICOSIDE 8 MG)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once or twice a day
- Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water
- It is best taken after food to reduce stomach upset
- Do not take for longer than the duration advised by your doctor, as this medicine is meant for short-term use
- Do not increase the dose on your own even if pain persists
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose
- Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
- Keep in the original pack until it is time to take it
- Keep out of reach and sight of children
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
- Are allergic to Etoricoxib, Thiocolchicoside, or any other ingredient in it
- Have active stomach or intestinal ulcers or bleeding
- Have severe heart disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or history of heart attack or stroke
- Have severe liver or kidney disease
- Are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding
- Have a history of seizures or epilepsy
