Etoricoxib 60mg is mainly used to treat pain and inflammation caused by joint and muscle conditions.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Osteoarthritis pain and stiffness
• Mild to moderate pain relief
• Pain and swelling due to inflammation
• Acute gouty arthritis (under doctor's guidance)

HOW IT WORKS

• It blocks a specific enzyme called COX-2
• This reduces the production of chemicals (prostaglandins) that cause pain, swelling and inflammation
• It provides relief from pain while causing less stomach irritation than some older painkillers

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used to treat infections

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor
• Usually taken once a day, with or without food
• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water
• Do not crush or chew unless advised
• Do not increase the dose or take it for longer than prescribed

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from heat and moisture
• Keep away from direct sunlight
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
