This medicine is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults when diet, exercise, and a single medicine alone are not enough to control blood sugar.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Controlling high blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes
• Used along with diet and exercise for better blood sugar control
• Sometimes used together with other diabetes medicines or insulin, as advised by the doctor

HOW IT WORKS

• Glimepiride stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin
• Metformin reduces the amount of sugar produced by the liver

SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS — STOP AND SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY

• Signs of low blood sugar such as shakiness, sweating, confusion, fast heartbeat, or fainting
• Signs of lactic acidosis such as unusual muscle pain, trouble breathing, stomach pain, feeling very weak or cold
• Yellowing of skin or eyes, dark urine (possible liver problem)
• Severe allergic reaction with swelling of face, lips, throat, or difficulty breathing
• Unusual bruising or bleeding

How to Use EUGLIM-M 1MG TABLET (GLIMEPIRIDE 1MG + METFORMIN 500MG)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with breakfast or the first main meal of the day
• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew unless your doctor says so
• Do not skip meals after taking this medicine, as this can cause low blood sugar
• Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well; diabetes needs long-term control
• Do not change the dose on your own

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember, along with food
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as usual
• Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one
• If you miss doses often, tell your doctor

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct heat, light, and moisture
• Keep in the original pack until ready to use
• Keep out of reach of children

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to glimepiride, metformin, or any other sulfonylurea medicine
• Have type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis
• Have severe kidney or liver disease
• Have a severe infection, injury, or are about to undergo major surgery or a contrast dye scan
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding, unless advised by your doctor

• Have any kidney, liver, or heart problems
• Drink alcohol regularly
• Have a history of low blood sugar episodes
• Are elderly, malnourished, or have irregular eating habits
