Uses and Benefits of HIFENAC TABLET (ACECLOFENAC 100 MG)

Aceclofenac 100 mg is mainly used to treat pain and inflammation associated with joint and muscle conditions.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Osteoarthritis pain and stiffness
• Rheumatoid arthritis
• Ankylosing spondylitis
• Muscle pain, sprains, and strains
• Pain after minor surgery or dental procedures
• Menstrual pain in some cases

HOW IT WORKS

• Blocks enzymes called cyclo-oxygenase (COX), mainly COX-2
• Reduces production of prostaglandins, chemicals that cause pain, swelling, and fever
• Helps reduce inflammation and provide pain relief within a few hours of taking it

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for infections, as it has no antibacterial action
• Not a first-line treatment for fever alone
• Not meant for long-term use without medical supervision
• Not suitable for treating stomach ulcers or acidity
• Not a substitute for other prescribed disease-modifying arthritis drugs

• Severe stomach pain
• Yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice)
• Difficulty breathing, swelling of face/lips/throat (allergic reaction)
• Chest pain or sudden weakness (signs of heart or stroke issues)
• Severe skin reaction with blistering or peeling

How to Use HIFENAC TABLET (ACECLOFENAC 100 MG)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with or after food to reduce stomach upset
• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do not crush or chew unless advised
• Do not increase the dose or take it more often than prescribed
• Avoid taking with alcohol, as it may increase the risk of stomach irritation
• Use for the shortest duration needed to control symptoms

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep out of reach of children and pets
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
• Dispose of unused medicine safely, do not flush down the drain

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to aceclofenac or other NSAIDs like ibuprofen or aspirin
• Have active stomach or intestinal ulcers or bleeding
• Have severe heart, liver, or kidney disease
• Are in the last trimester of pregnancy

• Have asthma, high blood pressure, or heart disease
