Ivermectin 12mg is used to treat infections caused by certain parasites and worms in the body.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Treatment of intestinal worm infections such as strongyloidiasis
• Treatment of scabies in some cases
• Treatment of certain skin conditions caused by parasitic mites
• Used in some cases of lice infestation as advised by a doctor

HOW IT WORKS

• It binds to specific channels in the nerve and muscle cells of parasites
• This causes paralysis and death of the parasite
• The dead parasites are then naturally cleared from the body

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for viral infections such as common cold or flu
