This medicine is mainly used for short-term treatment of moderate to severe pain, usually after surgery or injury, when other painkillers are not strong enough.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Short-term relief of moderate to severe pain after surgery
• Pain following dental or minor surgical procedures
• Acute musculoskeletal pain, as advised by a doctor

HOW IT WORKS

• It blocks enzymes called COX-1 and COX-2 that produce prostaglandins
• Prostaglandins are chemicals that cause pain, swelling, and inflammation
• By lowering their levels, this medicine reduces pain and inflammation quickly

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not for long-term or chronic pain management
• Not used for mild pain like simple headache or minor body ache
• Not a routine painkiller for children or during pregnancy

• Reduced urination or swelling due to kidney problems
• Yellowing of skin or eyes
• Chest pain, shortness of breath, or sudden weakness (signs of heart or stroke problems)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually for the shortest possible duration
• Take with food or milk to reduce stomach upset
• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water
• Do not increase the dose or take it for longer than advised
• Do not take other NSAIDs or painkillers together unless your doctor says so

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
