WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Treating an underactive thyroid gland (hypothyroidism)
- Managing thyroid hormone levels after thyroid surgery or radiation treatment
- Suppressing thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) in certain thyroid conditions, as advised by your doctor
- Supporting normal growth and development in children with low thyroid hormone levels
HOW IT WORKS
- It replaces the natural thyroxine hormone that your thyroid gland is not making enough of
- This helps restore normal metabolism, energy levels, and body functions that depend on thyroid hormone
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- It is not a treatment for weight loss in people with normal thyroid function

How to Use LETHYROX 88MCG TABLET (THYROXINE SODIUM 88MCG)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day
- Take it on an empty stomach, at least 30-60 minutes before breakfast, with a full glass of water
- Take it at the same time every day for consistent effect
- Avoid taking it with calcium, iron supplements, or antacids at the same time; leave a gap of a few hours
- Do not stop or change the dose on your own, even if you feel better
- Your doctor may adjust your dose based on periodic blood tests
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take the missed dose as soon as you remember on the same day
- If you remember it close to the next day's dose time, skip the missed dose and continue your normal schedule
- Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one

- Store at room temperature, away from heat, light, and moisture
- Keep in the original container, tightly closed

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

- Have an untreated overactive adrenal gland condition
- Have had a recent heart attack or untreated thyrotoxicosis
