This combination medicine is commonly used to relieve pain and reduce fever, including menstrual cramps, headache, toothache, joint and muscle pain, and mild feverish illness.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Relief of mild to moderate pain
- Reducing fever
- Menstrual (period) pain and cramps
- Headache, toothache, and body ache
- Pain due to minor injuries or muscle strain
HOW IT WORKS
- Paracetamol acts on the brain's pain and temperature-regulating centres to relieve pain and bring down fever
- Mefenamic acid blocks enzymes (COX) that produce prostaglandins, chemicals that cause pain, inflammation, and fever
- Together they give more effective pain relief than either drug alone
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not a cure for the underlying cause of pain or fever
- Not meant for long-term daily use without medical supervision
- Not used for severe or chronic inflammatory conditions like rheumatoid arthritis as a primary treatment
- Not suitable for infections; it does not treat bacterial or viral infections directly

How to Use MEFTAGESIC P TABLET (Paracetamol 125mg + Mefenamic Acid 50mg)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually after food to reduce stomach upset
- Swallow the tablet with a glass of water; do not crush or chew unless advised
- Do not take more than the prescribed dose or for longer than recommended
- Avoid taking other paracetamol- or NSAID-containing medicines at the same time unless your doctor allows it
- Drink plenty of water while on this medicine unless restricted by your doctor
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
- Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one

- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
- Keep in the original pack until it is time to take it
- Keep out of reach of children
