WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Treating moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease
• Helping improve memory, attention and ability to carry out daily activities
• Sometimes used along with other dementia medicines for added benefit

HOW IT WORKS

• It blocks the action of a brain chemical called glutamate
• Excess glutamate is believed to damage brain cells involved in memory and learning
• By controlling glutamate activity, it helps slow down worsening of symptoms

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It does not cure Alzheimer's disease
• It is not used for mild memory loss without a doctor's diagnosis

How to Use NEMDAA 5MG TABLET (Memantine 5mg)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once or twice a day
• It can be taken with or without food
• Swallow the tablet with a glass of water
• Your doctor may start with a lower dose and increase it gradually
• Do not stop taking it suddenly without talking to your doctor

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
• Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep out of reach of children
