Pregabalin is mainly used to treat nerve pain and certain other conditions affecting the nerves and brain.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Nerve pain caused by diabetes (diabetic neuropathy)
• Nerve pain after shingles (post-herpetic neuralgia)
• Nerve pain due to spinal cord injury
• As an add-on treatment for certain types of epilepsy (partial seizures)
• Generalised anxiety disorder (in some cases)
• Fibromyalgia related pain

HOW IT WORKS

• It acts on nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord
• It reduces the release of chemicals that send pain signals
• This calms overactive nerve activity, reducing pain and seizure risk

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

How to Use NEUGABA ER 75 TABLET (PREGABALIN 75MG)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once or twice a day
• Can be taken with or without food
• Swallow the tablet or capsule with water; do not crush unless advised
• Do not stop suddenly without consulting your doctor, as this can cause withdrawal symptoms
• Avoid alcohol while taking this medicine, as it can increase drowsiness
