Perampanel 2mg is used mainly to treat epilepsy, a condition in which abnormal electrical activity in the brain causes seizures.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Treating partial-onset seizures, alone or along with other anti-epileptic medicines
• Treating primary generalised tonic-clonic seizures in people with epilepsy
• Long-term control of seizures as part of an overall epilepsy treatment plan

HOW IT WORKS

• It blocks a chemical messenger (glutamate) that overexcites brain cells
• By reducing this overexcitement, it lowers the chance of abnormal electrical signals spreading
• This helps prevent or reduce the frequency of seizures

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It is not a painkiller and does not treat headaches or migraine directly
• It is not used for anxiety, depression, or sleep problems

How to Use PEREPSY 2MG TABLET (PERAMPANEL 2MG)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily at bedtime
• Swallow the tablet with water; it can be taken with or without food
• Do not crush or chew unless your doctor tells you to
• Do not stop taking it suddenly, even if you feel well, as this can trigger seizures
• Your doctor may slowly increase or decrease the dose based on your response

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for the next dose
• If you missed more than one dose, contact your doctor for advice
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE
