This medicine combination is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, especially when diet, exercise and a single medicine are not enough to control blood sugar.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Controlling high blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes
- Used along with diet and exercise as advised by your doctor
- Sometimes combined with other diabetes medicines or insulin
HOW IT WORKS
- Glimepiride helps the pancreas release more insulin
- Metformin reduces sugar production by the liver and improves insulin action in the body
- Voglibose slows down carbohydrate breakdown in the intestine, reducing sugar spikes after meals
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not used for type 1 diabetes
- Not used for diabetic ketoacidosis, a medical emergency
- Not a substitute for insulin when insulin is specifically required

- Yellowing of skin or eyes, dark urine
- Severe allergic reaction with swelling of face, lips or difficulty breathing
- Unexplained muscle pain with weakness

How to Use PPG TRIO 2MG TABLET (Glimepiride 2mg + Metformin 500mg + Voglibose 0.2mg)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with the first bite of a main meal
- Do not skip meals after taking this medicine, as it can cause low blood sugar
- Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew unless advised
- Continue diet and exercise recommendations given by your doctor
- Do not stop the medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember with your meal
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
- Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one
