Prulifloxacin 600mg is used to treat infections caused by susceptible bacteria, especially those affecting the urinary tract and respiratory system.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
• Acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis
• Certain respiratory tract infections
• Some gastrointestinal infections caused by bacteria

HOW IT WORKS

• It is a prodrug that gets converted into its active form in the body
• The active form blocks enzymes bacteria need to copy their DNA
• This stops bacterial growth and eventually kills the bacteria

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Viral infections such as common cold or flu
• Fungal infections
• As a general painkiller or fever medicine
• Preventing infections without a doctor's advice

HOW TO TAKE IT

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
