This combination medicine is mainly prescribed for acid-related digestive problems along with symptoms of poor stomach emptying such as nausea, bloating, and vomiting.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Acidity and heartburn caused by acid reflux (GERD)
- Stomach ulcers and duodenal ulcers linked to excess acid
- Nausea, vomiting, bloating, and early fullness related to slow stomach emptying
- Relief of indigestion symptoms when acid and motility problems occur together
HOW IT WORKS
- Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that reduces the amount of acid produced by the stomach lining
- Domperidone helps the stomach and intestines move food forward faster, reducing nausea, vomiting, and bloating
- Together they relieve both the acid production and the sluggish stomach movement that cause discomfort
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- It is not a painkiller and does not treat general body pain

HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily
- It is generally taken before a meal, often in the morning
- Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew it
- Do not stop the medicine suddenly without talking to your doctor, even if you feel better
- Continue for the full duration advised, even if symptoms improve early
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take the missed dose as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for your next dose
- Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one
- Get back to your regular dosing schedule from the next dose onward

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
- Are allergic to rabeprazole, domperidone, or any other ingredient in this medicine
- Have a known heart rhythm problem or are taking medicines that affect heart rhythm
- Have a pituitary gland tumour (prolactinoma)
- Have severe liver disease
- Have a blockage in the stomach or intestine
TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU
- Have any heart disease or family history of heart rhythm problems
- Have kidney or liver disease
- Are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding
- Are taking other medicines, including over-the-counter drugs or supplements
- Have osteoporosis or are at risk of bone fractures (long-term acid reducer use)
MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT
- Other medicines that affect heart rhythm (certain antibiotics, antifungals, antipsychotics)
- Ketoconazole and other strong CYP3A4 inhibitors
- Blood thinners like warfarin
- Other acid-reducing medicines or antacids taken too close in time
- HIV medicines such as atazanavir
