This composition is mainly used to treat iron deficiency anaemia, a condition where the body does not have enough iron to make healthy red blood cells.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Treating low haemoglobin levels caused by iron deficiency
• Anaemia during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as advised by a doctor
• Anaemia due to poor diet, heavy periods, or chronic blood loss
• Supportive treatment after surgery or illness causing blood loss

HOW IT WORKS

• Ferrous ascorbate supplies iron in a form the body absorbs well
• Vitamin C (ascorbate) improves absorption of iron in the gut
• Iron is used by the body to make haemoglobin, which carries oxygen in blood
• Regular use over weeks helps restore normal haemoglobin and energy levels

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It does not treat anaemia caused by vitamin B12 or folate deficiency alone
• It is not a treatment for infections, pain, or fever
• It should not be used as a general energy booster without a doctor confirming iron deficiency
• It does not treat anaemia caused by conditions other than iron deficiency, such as thalassemia, without medical guidance

How to Use RUBIRED TABLET (Ferrous Ascorbate 500mg)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once or twice daily
• Preferably take after meals to reduce stomach upset
• Swallow tablets with water; do not chew unless advised
• If using syrup, use the measuring cup provided for accurate dosing
• Avoid taking with milk, tea, or coffee as they can reduce iron absorption

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
• Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep the container tightly closed
• Keep out of reach of children, as iron overdose in children can be serious
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
