This medicine is mainly used to treat anxiety disorders that occur along with depression.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Generalised anxiety disorder
• Anxiety associated with depression
• Panic-related symptoms as assessed by the doctor
• Short-term relief of severe anxiety while antidepressant treatment starts working

HOW IT WORKS

• Clonazepam enhances the calming effect of a brain chemical called GABA, reducing excess nerve activity that causes anxiety and restlessness
• Escitalopram increases the availability of serotonin in the brain, which helps improve mood and reduce anxious thoughts over time
• Together they provide fast symptom relief (from clonazepam) along with long-term mood stabilisation (from escitalopram)

How to Use SZETALO LS TABLET (CLONAZEPAM 0.25 MG + ESCITALOPRAM OXALATE 10 MG)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily
• Swallow the tablet with water; it can be taken with or without food
• Try to take it at the same time every day to maintain steady effect
• Do not stop suddenly without consulting your doctor, as this can cause withdrawal symptoms
• Do not increase or decrease the dose on your own

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one
• Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose

• Store at room temperature, away from direct heat and sunlight

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to clonazepam, escitalopram, or any other ingredient
• Have severe liver disease
• Have untreated narrow-angle glaucoma
• Have severe breathing problems like sleep apnea
• Are taking or have recently taken MAOI antidepressants

TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU
