Uses and Benefits of TAZZLE 20MG TABLET (TADALAFIL 20MG)

Tadalafil 20mg is mainly used to treat erectile dysfunction (impotence) in adult men. It may also be prescribed for symptoms related to an enlarged prostate.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Treating erectile dysfunction (difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection)
• Sometimes used for symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) like difficulty urinating
• Occasionally used for pulmonary arterial hypertension under specialist care

HOW IT WORKS

• It relaxes blood vessels in the penis, increasing blood flow when sexually stimulated
• It also relaxes smooth muscles in the prostate and bladder, easing urinary symptoms
• Belongs to a group of medicines called PDE5 inhibitors

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It is not a cure for erectile dysfunction, only manages the symptom
• It does not increase sexual desire or act as an aphrodisiac
• It does not protect against sexually transmitted infections
• It should not be used by women or children

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS — STOP AND SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY

• Chest pain or palpitations during or after sexual activity
• Sudden decrease or loss of vision in one or both eyes
• Sudden decrease or loss of hearing
• An erection lasting more than 4 hours (priapism)
• Severe allergic reaction such as swelling of face, lips, throat or difficulty breathing

How to Use TAZZLE 20MG TABLET (TADALAFIL 20MG)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually as a single tablet before anticipated sexual activity or once daily depending on your condition
• Can be taken with or without food, though a heavy fatty meal may delay effect
• Swallow the tablet whole with water
• Avoid excessive alcohol as it can reduce effectiveness and increase side effects
• Sexual stimulation is needed for the medicine to work

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• If taken as needed, this does not usually apply
• If prescribed once daily, take the missed dose as soon as you remember, but skip it if it is almost time for the next dose
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct heat, light and moisture
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are taking nitrate medicines for chest pain or heart problems
• Have had a heart attack, stroke, or severe heart or liver problems recently
• Have very low or very high blood pressure
• Are allergic to tadalafil or any other PDE5 inhibitor
• Have been advised against sexual activity due to heart conditions

TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU

• Have a history of eye problems, especially a condition called NAION
• Have kidney or liver disease
• Have a bleeding disorder or stomach ulcer
• Have a deformity of the penis or a history of priapism
• Are taking alpha-blockers for blood pressure or prostate problems

MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT

• Nitrates (used for chest pain) – can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure
• Alpha-blockers – may cause low blood pressure
• Other medicines for erectile dysfunction
• Certain antifungal and HIV medicines that affect drug levels
• Blood pressure medicines
