WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Treating hypertension (high blood pressure)
- Reducing risk of heart-related complications from uncontrolled blood pressure
- Sometimes used in patients with associated heart conditions requiring both blood pressure and heart rate control
HOW IT WORKS
- Telmisartan blocks angiotensin II, a hormone that narrows blood vessels, helping vessels relax and widen
- Metoprolol Succinate blocks beta-1 receptors in the heart, slowing heart rate and reducing the force of contraction
- Together they lower blood pressure through two different mechanisms, giving better control

HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily
- Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do not crush or chew it
- Try to take it at the same time every day to maintain steady levels in the body
- Can be taken with or without food, unless your doctor advises otherwise
- Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly, especially the metoprolol component, as this can cause a rebound increase in heart rate or blood pressure
