This medicine is used mainly to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), especially when it is not controlled well by a single medicine.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Long-term control of high blood pressure
- Reducing strain on the heart in people needing combined therapy
- Helping prevent complications of uncontrolled blood pressure such as stroke and heart problems
HOW IT WORKS
- Telmisartan blocks a chemical (angiotensin II) that narrows blood vessels, helping them relax
- Metoprolol slows the heart rate and reduces the force of heart contraction, lowering blood pressure
- Chlorthalidone increases urine output, reducing extra fluid and salt in the body
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily
- Swallow the tablet with a glass of water
- Take it at the same time every day to maintain steady effect
- Can be taken with or without food unless your doctor advises otherwise
- Do not stop suddenly without consulting your doctor, especially due to the Metoprolol component

- Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
- Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one
