Uses and Benefits of TERBINAFORCE-PLUS CREAM (Terbinafine + Ofloxacin + Ornidazole + Clobetasol)

This medicine is applied on the skin to treat mixed infections of the skin that involve fungus, bacteria and inflammation together.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Fungal skin infections such as ringworm, athlete's foot and similar itchy rashes
• Skin infections with bacterial involvement
• Skin conditions with redness, itching and inflammation
• Mixed infections not responding to a single antifungal or antibacterial cream

HOW IT WORKS

• Terbinafine kills the fungus causing the infection
• Ofloxacin acts against bacteria present in the infected skin
• Ornidazole works against certain bacteria and protozoal organisms
• Clobetasol, a strong steroid, quickly reduces itching, redness and swelling

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not for acne, viral skin infections like chickenpox or herpes
• Not for use on face, groin or armpits for long periods without doctor's advice
• Not a treatment for plain dry skin or eczema without infection
• Not for children unless specifically prescribed by a doctor

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

• Burning or stinging at the application site
• Itching
• Dryness or peeling of skin
• Redness

LESS COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

• Thinning of skin with prolonged use
• Skin discoloration
• Increased hair growth at the application site
• Small visible blood vessels on skin (telangiectasia)

SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS — STOP AND SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY

• Severe burning, blistering or swelling of skin
• Signs of allergic reaction such as rash, itching, swelling of face or difficulty breathing
• Skin infection that worsens or spreads despite use
• Signs of skin thinning like easy bruising or stretch marks with long-term use

How to Use TERBINAFORCE-PLUS CREAM (Terbinafine + Ofloxacin + Ornidazole + Clobetasol)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• For external use on skin only; not to be taken by mouth
• Wash and dry the affected area before applying
• Apply a thin layer as advised by your doctor, usually once or twice a day
• Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the treated area
• Do not cover the area with airtight bandages unless your doctor says so
• Use only for the duration prescribed; do not extend use on your own

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Apply as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for the next application, skip the missed one
• Do not apply extra cream to make up for a missed dose

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep the tube tightly closed after use
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to Terbinafine, Ofloxacin, Ornidazole, Clobetasol or any other ingredient in the cream
• Have a viral skin infection like chickenpox, herpes or shingles
• Have untreated skin tuberculosis or acne, rosacea
• Are using it on broken, raw or infected wounds without doctor's advice

TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU

• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Are using it on a child
• Have thin or fragile skin
• Plan to use it on large body areas or for a long duration
• Have any other skin condition being treated with another medicine

MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT

• Other topical steroid creams used at the same time
• Other antifungal or antibacterial creams applied to the same area
• Any oral medicines you are taking, as absorption through skin can rarely add up, especially with prolonged use over large areas
