This medicine is mainly used to manage high cholesterol along with correcting vitamin D deficiency in the same patient.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Lowering high LDL (bad) cholesterol and triglycerides
- Reducing risk of heart attack and stroke in people with heart disease risk factors
- Correcting or preventing vitamin D deficiency
- Supporting bone and muscle health along with cholesterol control
HOW IT WORKS
- Atorvastatin blocks an enzyme in the liver that makes cholesterol, lowering LDL levels
- Vitamin D3 helps the body absorb calcium and phosphorus, supporting bones and immunity
- Together they address two common problems seen in the same patient
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not a treatment for acute chest pain or heart attack
- Not a substitute for a healthy diet, exercise or weight control
- Not meant for immediate relief of any symptom
- Not for treating severe vitamin D deficiency requiring high-dose therapy

- Symptoms of very high vitamin D like excessive thirst, frequent urination, vomiting, or confusion

How to Use TONACT D 10MG TABLET (Atorvastatin 10mg + Vitamin D3 1000IU)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily
- Atorvastatin is often taken at night as cholesterol production is higher then
- Can be taken with or without food, but be consistent
- Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew unless advised
- Avoid grapefruit juice as it can interact with atorvastatin
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
- Keep in original packaging until use
- Keep out of reach of children
