This combination medicine is used to treat mixed dyslipidemia, a condition where both cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood are higher than normal, increasing the risk of heart disease and pancreatitis.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Lowering high LDL (bad) cholesterol
• Lowering high triglyceride levels
• Raising HDL (good) cholesterol
• Reducing risk of heart disease in people with mixed lipid disorders

HOW IT WORKS

• Atorvastatin blocks an enzyme (HMG-CoA reductase) in the liver that makes cholesterol

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily

• Can be taken with or without food, as directed by your doctor

• Continue taking it even if you feel well, as cholesterol control needs regular use
