Uses and Benefits of TORVATE 750MG TABLET (Sodium Valproate (750mg))

Sodium Valproate is mainly used to treat epilepsy (seizures) and certain mood disorders such as bipolar disorder. It is also prescribed to prevent migraine headaches in some patients.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Controlling different types of seizures, including generalised and partial seizures
• Treating manic episodes in bipolar disorder
• Preventing recurrent migraine attacks

HOW IT WORKS

• It increases the levels of a calming brain chemical called GABA

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take it at the same time(s) each day to maintain steady levels in the blood
• Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly, even if you feel better, as it may trigger seizures

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take the missed dose as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
