Uses and Benefits of TRAPIC MF TABLET (TRANEXAMIC ACID 500MG + MEFENAMIC ACID 250MG)
This composition is commonly used to treat heavy menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia) along with associated pain and cramps.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Heavy or prolonged menstrual bleeding
- Pain and cramps associated with periods
- Short-term control of bleeding during menstrual cycles
HOW IT WORKS
- Tranexamic Acid reduces bleeding by helping blood clot more effectively at the site of bleeding
- Mefenamic Acid blocks chemicals in the body called prostaglandins that cause pain, inflammation and excessive bleeding
- Together they help reduce blood loss and relieve menstrual pain
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not used for bleeding disorders unrelated to menstruation without doctor's advice
- Not a treatment for irregular periods or hormonal imbalance
- Not meant for long-term daily use
- Not a substitute for treating underlying causes of heavy bleeding such as fibroids or thyroid issues

- Severe stomach pain
- Yellowing of skin or eyes
- Blurred vision or changes in eyesight

How to Use TRAPIC MF TABLET (TRANEXAMIC ACID 500MG + MEFENAMIC ACID 250MG)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with food to reduce stomach upset
- Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water
- Do not crush or chew unless advised
- Usually taken only during days of heavy bleeding, not throughout the month
- Do not exceed the dose or duration advised by your doctor
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
- Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from heat and direct sunlight
- Keep in its original pack, away from moisture
- Keep out of reach of children
- Discard expired medicine safely

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
- Are allergic to Tranexamic Acid, Mefenamic Acid, or other NSAIDs
- Have a history of blood clots (thrombosis) in legs, lungs or elsewhere
- Have active peptic ulcer disease or stomach bleeding
- Have severe kidney or liver disease
- Are in the last trimester of pregnancy

- Have asthma or history of NSAID-related allergic reactions
- Have heart disease or high blood pressure
- Have a history of kidney or liver problems
- Are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding
