WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Control of high blood pressure (hypertension)
• Used when a single blood pressure medicine does not give adequate control

HOW IT WORKS

• Losartan blocks a hormone (angiotensin II) that narrows blood vessels, helping vessels relax
• Amlodipine relaxes and widens blood vessels by blocking calcium entry into vessel walls
• Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that helps the kidneys remove excess salt and water, lowering blood volume
• Together they lower blood pressure through three complementary mechanisms

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water
• Can be taken with or without food, but try to take it at the same time each day
• Do not stop taking it suddenly even if you feel well, as blood pressure can rise again
• Continue lifestyle measures like low-salt diet and regular exercise as advised

• Take the missed dose as soon as you remember on the same day
