WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Long-term control of high blood pressure (hypertension)

HOW IT WORKS

• Losartan blocks a hormone called angiotensin II, which relaxes blood vessels

• Chlorthalidone is a diuretic that helps the kidneys remove excess salt and water, lowering blood volume
• Together, these three actions lower blood pressure more effectively than one medicine alone

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day

• Can be taken with or without food
• Swallow the tablet with water; do not crush or chew unless advised

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Have no urine output (anuria)
• Have severe low blood pressure
