This combination medicine is used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, especially when diet, exercise, and a single medicine are not enough to control blood sugar.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Controlling high blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes
- Used along with diet and exercise for better blood sugar control
- Sometimes used when a single diabetes medicine does not work well enough
HOW IT WORKS
- Glimepiride helps the pancreas release more insulin
- Metformin reduces the amount of sugar released by the liver and improves how the body uses insulin
- Voglibose slows down the breakdown and absorption of carbohydrates in the gut, reducing rise in blood sugar after meals
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not used for type 1 diabetes
- Not used for diabetic ketoacidosis (a medical emergency)

HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with the first bite of a meal
- Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew unless advised

- Continue taking regularly even if you feel well, unless your doctor advises otherwise

IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember, with food
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue as usual
- Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one
