WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Controlling high blood pressure (hypertension)
• Reducing risk of stroke, heart attack, and kidney problems linked to high blood pressure
• Used when a single blood pressure medicine is not enough to control levels

HOW IT WORKS

• Telmisartan blocks a hormone (angiotensin II) that narrows blood vessels, helping vessels relax and widen
• Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessel walls and improves blood flow
• Together they lower blood pressure more effectively than either medicine alone
