Uses and Benefits of ZEVERT OD 48MG TABLET (BETAHISTINE 48MG)

Betahistine 48mg is mainly used to treat Meniere's disease and other inner ear balance disorders.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Treating Meniere's disease
• Reducing vertigo (spinning/dizziness) episodes
• Reducing tinnitus (ringing or buzzing in the ear)
• Managing hearing loss and fullness in the ear caused by inner ear disease

HOW IT WORKS

• Improves blood circulation in the inner ear
• Helps reduce the build-up of fluid pressure in the inner ear
• Acts on histamine receptors to help balance signals reaching the brain

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for motion sickness or travel sickness
• Not used for general dizziness unrelated to inner ear disease
• Not a painkiller and does not treat ear infections
• Not used for vertigo caused by anxiety or low blood pressure

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor
• Swallow the tablet with water, preferably with food to reduce stomach upset
• Do not crush or chew unless your doctor tells you to
• Take at the same times each day for best results
• Continue the full course even if you feel better, unless your doctor advises otherwise

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one
• Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to betahistine or any ingredient in the tablet
• Have a rare tumour called pheochromocytoma

• Have a stomach ulcer or history of stomach bleeding
• Have low blood pressure
