Gatifloxacin 400mg is prescribed to treat a range of bacterial infections affecting different parts of the body.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis and sinusitis
- Certain urinary tract infections
- Skin and soft tissue infections caused by susceptible bacteria
- Some eye infections (in specific formulations)

HOW IT WORKS
- It blocks enzymes bacteria need to copy their DNA
- This stops bacteria from multiplying and eventually kills them

How to Use ZIGAT 400MG TABLET (GATIFLOXACIN 400MG)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day
- Can be taken with or without food, unless your doctor advises otherwise
- Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water
- Drink plenty of fluids while on this medicine
- Avoid taking antacids, calcium, iron, or zinc supplements close to the time of your dose, as they can reduce absorption
- Complete the full course even if you feel better before finishing it
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
- Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one
