This combination medicine is mainly used to control high blood pressure in adults who do not respond adequately to a single medicine.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Treating high blood pressure (hypertension)
• Reducing the risk of stroke in people with high blood pressure and thickened heart muscle
• Used when a single blood pressure medicine is not enough to control levels

HOW IT WORKS

• Losartan blocks a chemical called angiotensin II, which causes blood vessels to relax and widen
• Chlorthalidone is a diuretic (water pill) that helps kidneys remove excess salt and water, lowering blood volume
• Together they lower blood pressure more effectively than either medicine alone

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not a painkiller or fever medicine

How to Use ZILOS-H TABLET (Losartan 50mg + Chlorthalidone 12.5mg)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day
• Can be taken with or without food, but try to take it at the same time each day
• Swallow the tablet with a glass of water; do not crush or chew unless advised
• Continue taking it even if you feel well, as blood pressure control needs regular use
• Do not stop suddenly without talking to your doctor

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your normal schedule
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
