This medicine is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults when diet, exercise, and a single medicine are not enough to control blood sugar levels.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Controlling high blood sugar in type 2 diabetes
- Used along with diet and exercise for better blood sugar control
- Sometimes used together with other diabetes medicines or insulin, as advised by a doctor
HOW IT WORKS
- Glimepiride stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin
- Metformin reduces the amount of sugar made by the liver
- Metformin also helps the body's cells respond better to insulin
- Together they lower blood sugar through different but complementary actions

- Not used for type 1 diabetes

- Yellowing of skin or eyes, signs of liver problems
- Severe allergic reaction with swelling of face, lips, or throat
- Persistent vomiting or severe diarrhea leading to dehydration

How to Use ZORYL-M 4 TABLET (Glimepiride 4mg + Metformin 500mg)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with breakfast or the first main meal
- Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew unless advised
- Do not skip meals after taking this medicine as it can cause low blood sugar
- Continue diet and exercise plan given by your doctor
- Do not change the dose on your own
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember with food
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
- Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

- Have a serious infection, severe dehydration, or are about to undergo major surgery
