This medicine is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus, especially when diet, exercise, and a single medicine are not enough to control blood sugar.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Controlling high blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes
- Used along with diet and exercise for better blood sugar control
- Sometimes used with other diabetes medicines as advised by the doctor
HOW IT WORKS
- Glimepiride stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin
- Metformin reduces the amount of sugar produced by the liver
- Metformin also improves the body's response to insulin, helping cells use glucose better

- Not used for type 1 diabetes

- Yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice)
- Severe allergic reaction: swelling of face/lips/throat, difficulty breathing, severe rash
- Dark coloured urine or persistent vomiting

How to Use ZORYL MF 1MG TABLET (GLIMEPIRIDE 1MG + METFORMIN 850MG)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with meals to reduce stomach upset and lower risk of low blood sugar
- Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew unless your doctor says so
- Take it at the same time each day for best results
- Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well; do not stop without consulting your doctor
- Keep taking other lifestyle measures like diet control and exercise as advised
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember, with food if it is close to a meal time
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue as usual
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
