This medicine is used for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults whose blood sugar is not controlled by a single medicine or lifestyle changes alone.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• To control high blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes
• Used along with diet and exercise for better blood sugar control
• Used when a single diabetes medicine is not enough to control sugar levels

HOW IT WORKS

• Glimepiride helps the pancreas release more insulin
• Metformin reduces the amount of sugar made by the liver and improves insulin use

• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew unless advised

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
