WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Difficulty in starting urination
- Weak or interrupted urine flow
- Frequent urge to urinate, especially at night
- Feeling of incomplete bladder emptying due to enlarged prostate
HOW IT WORKS
- Blocks alpha-1A receptors present in the prostate and bladder neck
- Relaxes the smooth muscles around the urinary tract
- Improves urine flow and reduces urinary blockage symptoms
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not used to treat prostate cancer
- Not used to shrink the size of the prostate
- Not used for urinary tract infections
- Not meant for use in women or children
- Not a treatment for erectile dysfunction
How to Use Silodosin 8mg
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily
- Preferably take after the same meal each day to maintain consistent absorption
- Swallow the tablet/capsule whole with water; do not crush or chew
- Do not increase or decrease the dose on your own
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
- If you miss doses for several days, consult your doctor before restarting
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
- Keep in the original packaging until ready to use

- Retrograde ejaculation (semen entering the bladder instead of coming out)

- Reduced sexual desire

- Fainting or severe dizziness
- Prolonged and painful erection (priapism)
- Signs of allergic reaction such as rash, swelling of face/lips, difficulty breathing
- Severe drop in blood pressure causing blurred vision or weakness
