Uses and Benefits of ADDWIZE 10MG TABLET (METHYLPHENIDATE 10MG)
Methylphenidate 10mg is mainly prescribed for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children, adolescents and adults, and for narcolepsy, a sleep disorder causing excessive daytime sleepiness.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Managing symptoms of ADHD such as poor attention, hyperactivity and impulsiveness
- Treating narcolepsy to reduce excessive daytime sleepiness
- Used as part of an overall treatment plan that may include counselling or behavioural therapy
HOW IT WORKS
- Increases the activity of dopamine and norepinephrine, chemical messengers in the brain
- Improves focus, attention span and impulse control
- Helps keep the person awake and alert during the day in narcolepsy
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not used for weight loss or general tiredness
- Not a treatment for depression or anxiety
- Not meant for occasional use to improve exam performance or concentration in people without ADHD
- Not recommended for children below the age advised by the doctor

How to Use ADDWIZE 10MG TABLET (METHYLPHENIDATE 10MG)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually in the morning to avoid sleep problems
- Swallow the tablet with water; do not crush or chew unless your doctor says it is a special formulation meant for that
- Take with or after food if it upsets your stomach
- Do not stop suddenly without talking to your doctor, as it may need to be reduced gradually
- Avoid taking a dose late in the day as it can cause difficulty sleeping
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember, but only if it is still early in the day
- If it is close to evening or night, skip the missed dose and take the next one at the usual time
- Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
