WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Control of high blood pressure (hypertension)
• Long-term management of blood pressure to reduce risk of heart attack, stroke, and kidney problems
• Used when combination therapy is needed for better blood pressure control

HOW IT WORKS

• Telmisartan blocks a hormone called angiotensin II, which causes blood vessels to narrow, so blood vessels relax and widen
• Cilnidipine blocks calcium channels in blood vessel walls and nerve endings, further relaxing blood vessels and reducing pressure
• Together they provide a more complete and steady control of blood pressure than either alone

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not a painkiller and does not treat headache or body pain
• Not used for immediate emergency lowering of dangerously high blood pressure

How to Use CETANIL- T TABLET (Telmisartan 40mg + Cilnidipine 10mg)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day
• Can be taken with or without food, but try to take it at the same time each day
• Swallow the tablet with a glass of water; do not crush or chew unless advised
• Do not stop taking it suddenly even if you feel well, as blood pressure can rise again
• Continue regular blood pressure checks as advised by your doctor

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue as usual

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
