This medicine is mainly used to treat pain and cramping caused by menstrual periods and spasms of the stomach or intestines.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Relief of menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhoea)
• Relief of abdominal colic and spasm-related pain
• Short-term relief of pain associated with muscle spasm in the gut or uterus

HOW IT WORKS

• Dicyclomine relaxes the smooth muscles of the stomach, intestines and uterus, reducing spasm and cramping
• Mefenamic Acid blocks certain chemicals (prostaglandins) in the body that cause pain, swelling and inflammation
• Together they reduce both the muscle cramping and the pain signal, giving faster relief

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It is not a treatment for infections
• It is not meant for long-term daily pain control without medical supervision
• It does not treat the underlying cause of period pain, such as hormonal imbalance or fibroids

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with or after food to reduce stomach upset
• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do not crush or chew unless advised
• Do not increase the dose or take it more often than prescribed
• Avoid alcohol while taking this medicine as it may increase stomach irritation
• Use for the shortest duration needed to control symptoms

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
