This combination medicine is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, especially when diet, exercise, and a single medicine are not enough to control blood sugar.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Controlling high blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes
• Used along with diet and exercise for better blood sugar control
• Sometimes added when other diabetes medicines are not giving enough control

HOW IT WORKS

• Sitagliptin increases natural insulin release after meals and lowers sugar production by the liver
• Dapagliflozin makes the kidneys remove excess glucose through urine
• Together they lower blood sugar through two different actions

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew unless advised
• Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well; diabetes needs long-term treatment

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as usual

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
