This combination is mainly prescribed to treat H. pylori-related stomach and duodenal ulcers, and associated gastritis.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Eradication of H. pylori bacteria in the stomach
• Treatment of peptic ulcer disease linked to H. pylori
• Reducing acid-related stomach discomfort during infection treatment
• Helping ulcers heal faster by lowering acid and clearing infection

HOW IT WORKS

• Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that reduces stomach acid production
• Amoxycillin is a penicillin antibiotic that kills the H. pylori bacteria
• Tinidazole is an antiprotozoal/antibacterial agent that also acts against H. pylori
• Together they lower acid and clear the infection, allowing the stomach lining to heal

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for simple acidity or occasional heartburn alone
• Not meant for viral stomach infections or food poisoning
• Not a painkiller and does not treat unrelated abdominal pain
• Not to be used for infections unrelated to H. pylori without doctor's advice

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

• Nausea
• Metallic taste in mouth
• Diarrhoea or loose stools

LESS COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

• Dizziness
• Skin rash or itching
• Loss of appetite
• Vomiting
• Dry mouth

SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS — STOP AND SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY

• Severe watery or bloody diarrhoea
• Signs of allergic reaction such as swelling of face, lips or throat, difficulty breathing
• Severe skin reaction with blisters or peeling
• Yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice)
• Unusual tiredness, dark urine or signs of liver problems
• Numbness or tingling in hands and feet
• Seizures or confusion

How to Use HP-KIT (OMEPRAZOLE 20MG+TINIDAZOLE 500MG+AMOXYCILLIN 750MG)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually before meals
• Swallow tablets whole with water; do not crush or chew unless advised
• Complete the full course even if you feel better, to prevent bacterial resistance
• Avoid alcohol during and for at least 24-48 hours after finishing Tinidazole
• Take at the same time each day to maintain steady effect

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
• Continue your regular schedule afterward

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from heat and moisture
• Keep in original packaging until use
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to Omeprazole, Tinidazole, Amoxycillin or any penicillin-class antibiotic
• Have a history of severe allergic reaction to similar drugs
• Are in the first trimester of pregnancy (Tinidazole is generally avoided)
• Have severe liver disease without medical supervision

• Are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding
• Have kidney or liver disease
• Have a history of blood disorders
• Have epilepsy or nervous system disorders
• Are taking blood thinners or other regular medicines

• Blood thinners like Warfarin
• Methotrexate
• Other antibiotics or antifungal medicines
• Disulfiram or alcohol-based products
• Medicines affecting stomach acid such as other PPIs or antacids
