This medicine is used mainly for the long-term maintenance treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and emphysema.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Long-term control of COPD symptoms like breathlessness, wheezing and cough
- Reducing the frequency of COPD flare-ups (exacerbations)
- Improving lung function and daily activity tolerance in COPD patients
HOW IT WORKS
- Indacaterol is a LABA that relaxes the muscles around the airways, keeping them open
- Glycopyrrolate is a LAMA that blocks certain nerve signals that cause airway muscles to tighten
- Together they provide more effective and longer-lasting airway opening than either alone
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not for sudden asthma attacks or acute breathlessness (it is not a rescue inhaler)
- Not approved for treating asthma alone
- Not to be used for quick relief of wheezing during an emergency

How to Use LOFTAIR INHALER (INDACATEROL 110MCG + GLYCOPYRROLATE 50MCG)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Use only by inhalation, through the specific inhaler device prescribed for this medicine
- Take it once daily at the same time each day, as prescribed by your doctor
- Do not swallow the capsule inside the inhaler device; it is meant to be inhaled as a powder
- Rinse your mouth with water after use to reduce dry mouth
- Do not use more often or in higher amounts than prescribed, even if breathing does not improve immediately
- This medicine is not for immediate relief of sudden breathlessness; keep a rescue inhaler as advised by your doctor
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take the missed dose as soon as you remember on the same day
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
- Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one
