Oxymetazoline (0.05% w/v) is mainly used to relieve nasal congestion (blocked nose).

• Temporary relief of stuffy or blocked nose due to common cold
• Nasal congestion caused by sinusitis

HOW IT WORKS

• It is a decongestant that acts on blood vessels in the nasal lining

How to Use MAXTRA-O NASAL SPRAY (Oxymetazoline (0.05% w/v))

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Use only in the nose, as nasal drops or spray, as directed by your doctor
• Blow your nose gently before use to clear the nostrils
• Tilt your head slightly back and apply the prescribed number of drops or sprays into each nostril
• Avoid touching the tip of the applicator to your nose to prevent contamination
• Do not use for more than the number of days advised by your doctor, usually not beyond 3-5 days
• Wash your hands before and after use

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Since this is used as needed for congestion, simply use it when required
• Do not use extra doses to make up for a missed one
• If you forget for a long period, continue as advised by your doctor
