Uses and Benefits of ONECAN 50MG TABLET (FLUCONAZOLE 50MG)

Fluconazole 50mg is used to treat infections caused by fungus, most commonly yeast infections affecting the vagina, mouth, throat, food pipe, and other parts of the body.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Vaginal yeast infections (candidiasis)
• Oral and throat fungal infections (thrush)
• Fungal infections of the skin and nails
• Fungal infections of internal organs in some cases
• Prevention of fungal infections in people with weak immunity

HOW IT WORKS

• Fluconazole belongs to a group of medicines called azole antifungals
• It blocks an enzyme that fungus needs to build its cell wall
• This stops the fungus from growing and multiplying, helping the infection clear up

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It does not treat bacterial infections
• It does not treat viral infections such as cold or flu
• It is not a painkiller and does not treat pain or fever
• It should not be used for infections it has not been prescribed for

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor
• It can be taken with or without food
• Swallow the tablet or capsule with a glass of water
• Do not increase or decrease the dose on your own
• Complete the full course even if you feel better, unless your doctor tells you to stop

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take the missed dose as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as usual
• Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep out of reach of children and pets
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
• Do not store in the bathroom or near the kitchen sink
